Matt joined the firm as a law clerk in the summer of 2008 and continued with the firm after graduating law school. Before entering the legal field, Matt worked in technical positions in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries for more than a decade.

Matt and his wife April have been married since 2000, and they have lived in Kitsap County since 2001. They have two children: Helen and Theodore. Theodore was born with spina bifida, a circumstance which has given Matt insight into legal issues facing special needs children and their families.

When not in the office, Matt enjoys hiking, camping, turkey hunting, traveling, motorcycling, geocaching, and running an occasional half-marathon.
